UK-based Nigerian teenager arrested in Barbados over alleged cocaine trafficking

A 19-year-old UK-based Nigerian teenager, Abdul-Rasheed Anjolaoluwa Oduola, has been arrested and charged in Barbados over the alleged trafficking of cocaine following the seizure of 23.4 kilogrammes of the substance.

Oduola, who is from Dagenham, East London, was arrested by the Narcotics Unit of the Barbados Police Service in connection with the seizure.


He is facing multiple charges, including possession of cocaine, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and attempting to export the illegal substance.


According to the police, the seized 23.4kg of suspected cocaine has an estimated street value of BDS$1.17 million.


Oduola was expected to appear before the District ‘B’ Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 2, 2026, to answer to the charges.


The allegations against him have not been tested in court.
